The votes are in: Pennsylvania is hell
Five years and counting, I've never gotten used to Pennsylvania's hot, humid summers. Growing up in Seattle prepared me for many things--tree hugging, Microsoft office, voting Democratic--but unbearable summers were not among them.
When I arrived at the Philadelphia airport last night at 7 pm, it was hotter than it ever was during my two weeks on the equator. It turns out that an excessive heat warning is in effect until Thursday night at 8 pm. Over the weekend, temperatures are expected to be about 10 degrees Fahrenheit cooler--meaning the mid 90s. Loco, no?
